3D Printing Is Taking Over The WorldPosted by
3D printing has been creating an enormous buzz throughout the world in terms of innovative technology with new uses and possible investment opportunities for businesses.
Why The Sudden Surge In 3D Printers?
3D printers have been around since the 1980s but only recently shown just how impressive they really are. It really is mind-boggling what can be developed using a 3D printer – what happened to just printing colours and words onto a piece of paper? 3D printing has come out of nowhere and completely transformed the way goods are produced, and we believe this is just the start of great things to come.
3D printers come in all shapes and sizes, from small devices you can have in your office right up to the ones the size of your office. They work by printing in layers using different materials, depending on the desired product.
A construction firm in China is building houses en masse using just cement, building waste and a giant 3D printer, setting them back just £3,000 per house. The 3D printer is able to print the overall structure, base and walls of the house but the windows and roofs are add-ons. Each house is printed out layer by layer and the company is building up to ten houses in 24 hours.
3D Printers Can Also Produce:
- Human body parts
- Even 3D printers
Could this be our future?
